It is officially lake season here in Minnesota! A time of fun in the sun and beach days; but for us realtors, it means lakeshore season! If you live in Minnesota already, you either have a lakeshore property, or are dreaming of having one. There just isn’t anything better than stepping out of your home and being right beside a serene Minnesota lake- so much fun right outside your back door!
Lakeshore properties are sought after which can make them hard to compete for. If you’re a buyer interested in lakeshore property, here are some tips to help you get your offer accepted!
1.) Get pre-approved! You don’t want to fall in love with a home only to lose it to another buyer who got their first because you were still waiting for your pre-approval to go through!
2.) Work local! Working with a local realtor and/or lender who knows the area and most likely has relationships with other agents in the area is a great way to streamline your homebuying process.
3.) Write a clean offer! If you can make an offer without contingencies, DO IT! This type of clean offer looks much more appealing to sellers! Also, if you and your agent think the home is sturdy, you can also opt to bypass inspection with your offer which reduces stress and cost for the seller.
